YMS students voiced the idea of the College Success Center (CSC) in Newark. They took this idea, drafted an
agenda, and successfully applied for a grant. Today, the centers serve as a resource for students and parents to learn more about the college application process, financial aid, college life, and professional development skills to succeed in life.


The centers are providing resources on the college application process, financial aid options, and tutoring services. Trained volunteers will provide direct services.


The ALI/YMS College Success Center Sites are hosted within various community establishments; managed by ALI Site Coordinators.

OUR SERVICES ARE FREE AND INCLUDE

  1. One on one assistance with every part of the college application process.
  2. Mentoring from College Students and Grads.
  3. Scholarship applications and assistance with applying.
  4. Workshops on college and career readiness topics.
  5. Help with the FAFSA.
  6. College tours and visits.
  7. Tutoring for students in English, Science and Math.
  8. A Hub for all information regarding programs and opportunities for Newark students.
